Pandora’s been acting weird all morning.
She’s been checking her phone nonstop since we woke up, and I’ve seen her quickly delete messages before I can catch a glimpse of what they say.
At first, I thought maybe she was just getting anxious about our plans for the day, but now I’m not so sure.
We’re supposed to meet John at that new coffee shop on 5th street in an hour, and she’s still pacing around the apartment like she’s got a lot on her mind.
Mr Whiskers is trying to get her attention by rubbing against her legs, but she just shooes him away without even looking down.
I’m starting to feel a little left out of whatever’s going on in that head of hers.
Does she know something about John that I don’t? Or maybe it’s something else entirely…
I’m trying to piece together what could be going on, but it’s like trying to solve a puzzle blindfolded.
One thing that keeps popping into my head is that Karen has been texting her nonstop since yesterday, and I’ve seen Pandora quickly responding with one-word answers.
Maybe she’s just being secretive about something, or maybe there’s more to it than that.
Could be related to work or school, but why would she be so nervous about it? Unless…
unless Karen is somehow involved in whatever plans we have today.
Wait, does that mean Karen is meeting up with us too? And what about Dave? He was supposed to come over last night, but he canceled at the last minute.
Could be a coincidence, but it’s weird how everything seems connected right now.
I’m starting to get a little frustrated with myself for not being able to figure out what’s going on.
I’ve been trying to piece together all these different threads, but it feels like every time I think I’ve got something, another question pops up and unravels the whole thing.
Like, I was just thinking about how Pandora’s been acting weird around Mr Whiskers, and now I’m wondering if maybe there’s something going on with Mrs Jenkins too – she’s always been a bit of a nosy parker, but what if she’s somehow involved in whatever’s got Pandora spooked? And then there’s the fact that John’s been saying some weird stuff about his work lately…
he mentioned something about feeling “watched” and I just brushed it off as paranoia, but now I’m wondering if maybe there’s more to it.
But no, no, I need to stop overthinking this – Pandora will tell me what’s going on when she’s ready, and in the meantime, I just need to focus on getting to that coffee shop on time…

At first, I thought nothing of it, but now I’m wondering if maybe she’s been trying to keep our plans a secret from me because…
because she can’t trust me? Yeah, that must be it.
Dave’s been acting all weird around her lately and I know he’s been checking up on her, so maybe they’re in cahoots or something.
And then there’s Mr Whiskers – he’s been staring at Pandora a lot more than usual, like he knows something we don’t.
Mrs Jenkins told me once that cats can sense things, so maybe Mr Whiskers is picking up on some kind of vibe from her…
This has to be connected to Karen somehow.

It all feels really convoluted, but if there’s one thing that’s clear, it’s that everyone around me is hiding something.
I just realized that Karen’s been taking an awful lot of pictures with her phone, and not just of everyday things – she’s always snapping shots of Pandora from afar, or even just focusing on her hands or feet.
And John Mercer’s been acting really interested in photography lately too, which is weird because he’s never shown any passion for it before.
I’m starting to think they’re trying to gather evidence or something.
But what could they possibly be collecting this kind of intel for? Maybe Pandora’s hiding some kind of secret life from me, and Karen and John Mercer are trying to uncover it so they can use it against her…
no, wait – against us.
It all makes sense now: we’re in some kind of twisted game where everyone’s playing a different role and I’m just oblivious to the whole thing.
I’ve been going over our conversations with Karen, trying to pick out any inconsistencies or clues that might indicate what’s really going on.
And then it hit me – remember when she asked me about my schedule? She said she was just making sure I had time for myself, but now I’m wondering if she was actually checking to see how often I leave the house without Pandora.
Because I know exactly who does spend a lot of time alone in this apartment…
John Mercer.
He’s always disappearing for hours at a time, claiming he’s going out with friends or running errands, but what if he’s not? What if he’s been sneaking around to gather information on us, and Karen’s been covering his tracks? The more I think about it, the more I’m convinced they’re in this together.
And now that I think about it, Mrs Jenkins has been acting really strange too – always hovering around the apartment complex, asking questions…
I’m starting to put it all together: she must be their accomplice.
