Went to the University of Southern California against the University of Hawaii football game today. This was a fun game because USC has Matt Leinart and Reggie Bush with a whole bunch of other good players. The University of Hawaii had Colt Brennan. The game was not even close from the start. The high performance of the artificial turf of the Aloha stadium really helped facilitate the speed of this game. It was a complete romp all in USC’s favor with a final score of 62 to 17. Here are photos of the event.

Navy Ship Pearl Harbor
Today I was driving across the bridge coming from Ford Island to Halawa and snapped a couple photos of a ship sitting in Pearl Harbor. I don’t know anything about Navy ships, but it looks pretty cool. I know I wouldn’t want to mess with the United States Navy.

Bond Set for Michael Moffatt Charged With Shooting Wife

Michael Clinton Moffatt, charged at the beginning of the month with attempted murder, has been trying since then to get a judge to set bail, but until Tuesday had no luck.
Following a hearing before Mobile County Circuit Judge Charles Graddick, a bail of $250,000 was ordered for the 15-year Air Force veteran stationed in Biloxi.

Staff Reporter’, ‘According to prosecutors, Moffatt, 35, shot his estranged wife, Toiya Moffatt, 30, at his mother”s Mobile home on Cotton Street on April 1, then fled.
Michael Moffatt, a tech sergeant, surrendered the next day to his commanding officer at Keesler Air Force Base in Biloxi.
Assistant District Attorney John Furman told Graddick on Tuesday that the victim remained in a hospital, her condition still critical following a number of surgeries to address the shotgun blast she suffered.
Outside court, Furman characterized her chances of surviving as “nip and tuck” and “50-50.”
Following his client’s arrest, Mobile attorney Jeff Deen went before two district judges seeking bail; each time he was turned down.
On Tuesday, he argued before Graddick that Moffatt’s rights under the eighth amendment to the Constitution and Alabama law required a bail be set.
According to Deen, Toiya Moffatt lived in Florida after the couple separated.
Deen said he could not explain why a lower court was reluctant to set bail.
Furman said Toiya Moffatt was under a protective court order at the time of the shooting. He said his office was “still greatly concerned” for her safety.

Atlantis Submarine Tour – Honolulu Hawaii
Today I took the Atlantis Submarine tour out of the Hawaiian Hilton Hotel. This tour was superb. First you leave from Waikiki and they take you out on a boat to rendezvous with a submarine that is waiting. You want to be sure to get there early and try to take the earliest tour if you can because then you have the best chance to see sharks and other cool fish. Once everybody boards the submarine they take you down to a depth of 100 feet deep. While down there you get to see some of the sea restoration projects they have going on where a couple ships, a plane, and scaffolding were sunk in order to create an artificial reef. Here are a few photos from my experience.

President Bush’s Inaugural Speech Summary
This document will cover the key points of the 2005 presidential inaugural speech that was given by George W. Bush in January 2005. Within the Presidential speech you may or may not have heard key points that were a bit confusing. This document will try to mitigate any confusion by spelling it out in plain English.’, ‘The first key point the President made was about the success of liberty in America depends on the success of liberty in foreign lands. By saying this President Bush was simply stating that anybody who opposes our way of life would have to contend with the stern hand of America. Anybody who is willing to accept democracy the United States will be there to support them in becoming a free nation. The second key point that was being made was about human rights. The point being made was that if you accept our views on human rights you will see the US is more than just, however if you want to defy the US’s views on human rights and you will see how much of a burden you will be bringing on yourself. The President identifies what he believes are clear examples of immoral acts of human rights. He tried to identify how human rights would never be upheld without liberty and by stating the message is not only being sent out to rulers of other nations, but to the followers of the rulers. It takes everybody to make these sets of ideals to be upheld. Another key point I believe the President was trying to make was that the US has taken on great responsibilities by taking the lead as a nation to step up and do what other countries weren’t willing to do and for the US to keep doing this there needs to be sacrifices made for one’s country.
In conclusion, the President’s speech was directed at focusing on the ideals he believes Americans are most concerned with and ultimately will unite everyone with one common bond.

Radio Station Took Suggestion
A person I work with showed me a website with photos of a person for a “Thong of the Day” and a “Babe of the Day.” Although this website had a great idea I have never listened to this radio station before. I do however listen to another radio station and they had a link to some local models in the area. So I shot them an e-mail with the suggestion they should put a “Babe of the Day” on their site with photos of their local girls instead of arbitrarily choosing a photo off the internet like the other radio station. Not long after I e-mailed them with my suggestion they posted exactly what I suggested on their website. They do have contests going on for people who make a good suggestion of how to make their website better the person who makes the suggestion can get a t-shirt, bumper sticker, or some other promotional item. Needless to say I didn’t get anything, not even an e-mail back acknowledging my idea. Fags!

Redskins Down the Buccaneers
The Washington Redskins downed the Tampa Bay Buccaneers 16 to 10 in season opener. During this game Clinton Portis rushed for 148 yards to include a 64 yard touchdown on his first carry. Tampa Bay scored their only touchdown off a fumble from a sloppy handoff between Mark Brunell and Clinton Portis. All in all it was a victory for the Redskins so we”ll see what they can do next week against the Giants.

Apple releases the G5 iMac
Apple has really done it this time by releasing the new iMac with the G5 processor. This computer packs a lot of punch all into one little sleek design. I really like this design because it saves a whole lot of space, but the shear power of this computer is mind blowing. From what I’ve seen with the G5 iMac the prices look great as well, so not only will it save space in your home it will save space in your pocketbook too. For the 17″ display with a 1.6GHz processor it runs $1,299.00. For the 17″ display with a 1.8GHz processor it runs $1,499.00. Finally for the big 20″ display with a 1.8GHz processor it runs $1,899.00.’, ‘Before I got my first G4 iMac I never really knew much about Apple computers except their one button mouse really sucked. Now since I have my iMac I love it. It doesn’t matter what you are doing whether it be inputting photos, e-mailing friends, surfing the internet, creating web graphics, or even creating your own DVD?s, this computer runs smooth and is so stable. Not once have I ever had to troubleshoot a problem with it. In case you are concerned about it not being able to connect to a wireless router of a different manufacturer I currently have my iMac connected to my Linksys wireless router and it not only runs smooth, but at speeds of 54Meg. The elegance and design of the Apple iMac is just startling of how they make it work.

While the Redskins running game was lead by Clinton Portis who had 37 yards and Rock Cartwright who finished with 33 yards. All in all the Redskins racked up 181 yards on the ground which meant they didn”t need to utilize their passing game as much against the Dolphins. The Redskins held the Dolphins to a total of 25 yards rushing which goes to show you how much Ricky Williams will be missed in Miami.

Bear guzzles Rainier Beer and Passes Out
This is some real news here. I found this article on CNN today. They hold all rights and copyrights to the material they have written, but this story is one that you have to read. It is exactly quoted off CNN as follows:
Wednesday, August 18, 2004 Posted: 9:12 PM EDT (0112 GMT)
SEATTLE, Washington (Reuters) — A black bear was found passed out at a campground in Washington state recently after guzzling down three dozen cans of a local beer, a campground worker said on Wednesday’, ‘”We noticed a bear sleeping on the common lawn and wondered what was going on until we discovered that there were a lot of beer cans lying around,” said Lisa Broxson, a worker at the Baker Lake Resort, 80 miles (129 km) northeast of Seattle.
The hard-drinking bear, estimated to be about two years old, broke into campers” coolers and, using his claws and teeth to open the cans, swilled down the suds.
It turns out the bear was a bit of a beer sophisticate. He tried a mass-market Busch beer, but switched to Rainier Beer, a local ale, and stuck with it for his drinking binge.
Wildlife agents chased the bear away, but it returned the next day, said Broxson.
They set a trap using as bait some doughnuts, honey and two cans of Rainier Beer. It worked, and the bear was captured for relocation.

Unexplained Experience
This weekend I had an unexpainable experience. I went into my bathroom to wash my hands. When I turned around to wipe my hands off with a towel I noticed there were about 7 drops of blood running down the wall at about 5 foot high off the floor. I looked around to see if there were any other drops of blood, but there were none. I thought maybe it might have been grease or something that might have been splattered on the wall from the previous day, but when I went to wipe it off the wall, it was still wet and quickly wiped away. That rules out my dog being able to do it. There was nobody else who could have done it. So I thought maybe a gecko got it’s tail chopped off, but there was nothing. Plus that was too much blood for a little gecko. I don’t want to say it was supernatural, but how do you explain something like that? I once had a similar experience in a different place I lived. I was sitting at my computer when I had something that felt like 3 cold fingers move across the back of my neck. When I turned around there was nothing there. At first I thought it might have been the wind, but there were no fans on and my windows were closed.
Being in Hawaii these are the first time in my life ever having strange experiences like this. What do they mean? How do you explain them? I tried telling other people, but they just look at you like you are crazy or on drugs.

Do You Ever Feel Like a Stupid, Dummy?
Well it seems that I suck at taking tests. Today I went back for my 3rd retake of the Microsoft 70-290 exam. I was previously showing progress, but this time I was tired going into take the exam and it showed. I couldn’t think straight if my life depended on it. That’s what happens when you get 5 hours of sleep before taking the exam. I’m not making excuses, I’m just saying this is getting discouraging because you need to be menatally prepared going into this test. It’s not the hardest test in the world, but if you mind isn’t ready to deal with it you’ll end up wasting money. I guess that gives me 2 more weeks to broaden my study material knowledge. I have every question and answer memorized out of the Microsoft 70-290 book and the Test King questions and answers. I have also read that book from cover to cover, but I just can’t seem to pass this damn test. “If at first you don’t succeed, try, try again.”
