I’m in Seattle, Washington for a few days on a business trip. While here I decided to go take a look at the fish market and the space needle. Here are a couple photos I took of those places.

Gotemba Premium Outlets
Today I wanted to drive over toward Mount Fuji to see what it was looking like at this time of year. On the way over there I happened to notice some premium outlet stores at Gotemba and it looked like a good place to stop and look around. The outlet stores must be pretty popular because they were packed and there was busloads of people that kept arriving. I decided to walk around and look at the outlet stores. I went into a G-Shock store, but their selection of G-Shock watches was terrible. I asked them if they had any solar powered G-shock watches and they showed me this selection that looked like some cheap 3 dollar watches that had the name G-Shock stamped onto them. I literally wouldn’t have paid more than $5.00 for one of those watches, but they were charing about $100. I went into the Oakley store to see what they had to offer. They had a bunch of snow boarding clothes, backpacks, and of course sunglasses, but the problem was with the clothes that they were all Japanese sizes. Good luck trying to find any large clothes in Japan. I ended up walking through some other stores, but the one thing I noticed is that they had very limited selection of items on the floor and the prices were crazy. I guess I’m going to be stuck doing my clothes shopping online or wait until I can go somewhere else.

The Box Office

While the C-5 was turning over its engines, a female crewman gave the G.I.s on board the usual information regarding seat belts, emergency exits, etc. Finally, she said, “Now sit back and enjoy your trip while your captain, Judith Campbell, and crew take you safely to Afghanistan.”
An old MSgt. sitting in the eighth row thought to himself, “Did I hear her right? Is the captain a woman?”
When the attendant came by he said “Did I understand you right? Is the captain a woman?”
“Yes,”! said the attendant, “In fact, this entire crew is female.”
“My God,” he said, “I wish I had two double scotch and sodas. I don’t know what to think with only women up there in the cockpit.”
“That’s another thing, Sergeant,” said the crew member, “We No Longer Call It The Cockpit”……”It’s The Box Office.”

Interesting Cars
Yesterday I drove to Narita airport and after I parked my car I happened to notice a couple interesting cars in the parking lot, so I had to take a couple photos. The yellow car is called a smart car. It looks extremely small and compact. I think you may fit one comfortably and a briefcase. This car is in Japan, so maybe you could fit two Japanese people comfortably. The 2nd car, I have no idea what kind of car it is, but I thought the rear window was unique. The overall shape of the car was pretty unique.

Aloha Hawaii, Konnichiwa Japan
Well, there comes a time in everyone’s life where you come to a fork in the road on your path to the future. My road has came to that fork and I have chosen to move to Japan. For the past seven years Hawaii has been an o.k. place to live, but it wasn’t exactly my ball of wax. People of Hawaii are very proud of Hawaii and that works for them, but for me there is many more things to see and do, so now the time has come to say goodbye. The people I have worked with have been fantastic and I can only hope that I will have the opportunity to work with people as awesome as the ones I have worked with for the past 3 years.
I am moving to Tokyo, so that should give me the opportunity to share, not only more stories on this website, but also new adventures, photos, and anything else I might find interesting along the way. Keep checking back, share your adventures, and aloha Hawaii!

USS Missouri
Went down to the USS Missouri (The Mighty MO) located in Pearl Harbor, Hawaii and took a tour and snapped some photos. Here are some of the photos. This was quite an experience. The USS Missouri shoots projectiles the size of a Volkswagen Bug up to 30 miles. Wow! Also it was quite a thing to stand on the exact spot where the Japanese signed their surrender to World War II in Tokyo Bay. If you ever get the opportunity, definitely go visit the USS Missouri and take in the whole experience.

Charmane Star
Charmane Star came to Hawaii for a promotional show at Club 939 in Honolulu, so I had to go check her out. I got there at about 9 PM and she came out at about 10 PM. She performed a sexy little dance, then took a break. After her break she sat in a booth for some meet and greet. It was during the meet and greet that I had to get my photo taken with her otherwise nobody would have believed that I met her. I got a short chance to talk with her, she seemed pretty cool and down to earth. She asked me what I wanted her to write on the Polariod I got taken with her, so I told her something funny like, “Bald is beautiful.” So she did it. Then I went back and got one of her professional photos and had her sign that too.

Feeding Crocodiles in Thailand
I went to the “Million Years Stone Park & Pattaya Crocodile Farm” and I was able to pay a gentleman for a chicken attached to a stick. Then I dangled it down in front of some crocodiles. They slowly made their way over to it and when I was least expecting it “snap” I felt the crocodiles jaws wrapped around that chicken. It was quite an experience and a lot of fun. I strongly recommend it if you have a chance. Here are the photos from that experience.
