Steelcase is Everywhere
Growing up my neighbor worked for Steelcase, otherwise I would probably have no idea that Steelcase is an office furniture company out of Grand Rapids, Michigan. While driving up the I-5 north in California I passed a Steelcase truck. That was pretty cool to see them this far out west. I have heard that you will never see one of these trucks broken down on the side of the road because it is company policy that if a Steelcase truck ever breaks down the drive has to cover it up so the company doesn’t get bad publicity. Being that I’ve never worked for the company I can’t verify if that is true or not, but that’s just what I heard from one of the drivers.

The Italian Funeral
A Jewish man was leaving a convenience store with his espresso when he noticed a most unusual Italian funeral procession approaching the nearby cemetery. A black hearse was followed by a second black hearse about 50 feet behind the first one. Behind the second hearse was a solitary Italian man walking a dog on a leash. Behind him, a short distance back, were about 200 men walking in single file.
The Jewish man couldn’t stand the curiosity. He respectfully approached the Italian man walking the dog and said… “I am so sorry for your loss, and this may be a bad time to disturb you, but I’ve never seen an Italian funeral like this. Whose funeral, is it?”
“My wife’s.”
”What happened to her?”
“She yelled at me and my dog attacked and killed her.”
He inquired further, “But who is in the second hearse?”
“My mother-in-law. She came to help my wife and the dog turned on her and killed her also.”
It was a very poignant and touching moment of Jewish and Italian brotherhood. Silence passed between the two men.
The Jewish man then asked… “Can I borrow the dog?”
The Italian man replied, “Get in line.”

How can Hollywood be throwing political stones when their glass house is way too dirty? Harvey Weinstein is just the tip of the iceberg with people who have sexually harassed or sexually assaulted others by using their fame or position to get sexual favors. A message to all actors, actresses, Hollywood, and the Academy, “Stop pushing your political agenda when you have more serious issues to resolve!”

The 90th Academy Awards the 2018 Oscars
The Oscars are a prestigious awards show that is usually hosted in the Dolby Theater in Hollywood, California where awards are given to candidates who did their job well either technically, artistically, or otherwise. In recent years we have seen where the Oscars have become more politically charged to push the liberal agenda or attempt to get people talking about hot issues or against a political candidate or political party. This year one of the hottest issues is gun violence and people will wear orange pins to show support for this issue. This shouldn’t even be a topic this year because American gun rights are protected by the constitution of the United States, however what The Academy, Hollywood, actors, and actresses should be talking about are such topics as abuse of power, sexual misconduct, equal pay for women, California not being a sanctuary state, or even smaller issues like homelessness or infrastructure improvements in not only Los Angeles, but in California as whole. You would think with all the like using the publicity, fame, and billions upon billions of dollars that the movie industry brings in that Los Angeles wouldn’t look like such a run down city with major homeless issues. Hollywood should be also talking about issues like boarder security, narcotics use within their industry, and sexual abuse, rape, workplace ethics. This is an industry that takes, takes, takes, from the American people, but doesn’t want to give back to help make America great again. Until something changes within the industry it is sad to see people of fame and power covet a small pyrite statue.

Security at the 90th Oscars
The stage is set for the 90th Oscars to begin shortly. The security has been tight this year with some enhanced security features as seen by the fake bushes, fences, and drapes to block any unauthorized personnel from being able to see the any of the activities. There is also an entire force of security personnel to protect the red carpet. Maybe Hollywood could start a security company to protect innocent children in schools like they protect their awards show.
